During the period of increased risk of infection with the new type of virus from the Coronavirus group (the Covid-19 type), which is particularly dangerous for people in the higher-risk group, ZdrOva is introducing changes to how the practice operates.
Vasectomy procedures are being performed as usual, according to the bookings.
We are carefully monitoring the spread of the Covid-19 virus.
To ensure safety during your visit to our practice, after consulting with fellow doctors we are temporarily changing the rules governing how our practice operates.
In line with the recommendations of the WHO and the Polish sanitary authorities, we have implemented rules that help avoid crowding and maintain an appropriate ?distance between people?,
We book only one patient for a vasectomy at a given hour, at intervals, which reduces contact between people in the waiting room to a minimum.
We follow the protocols approved by the sanitary authorities regarding the disinfection of the space in our facility, and our waiting room is spacious enough that it is usually not crowded.
If, however:
- you have a fever or a cough, or
- you have been abroad in a country on the high-risk list within the last 14 days
- you have had contact with a person diagnosed (by a reliable laboratory test) with COVID19
please reschedule your appointment.
Out of concern for others, we encourage anyone who has a cough or a fever to stay at home.
Similarly, if you have a serious chronic concurrent illness, please reschedule your appointment.
Examples of serious chronic illnesses are
- respiratory diseases,
- severe cardiovascular diseases,
- severe obesity (BMI >35),
- uncontrolled or poorly controlled diabetes
- impaired immunity,
- long-term use of immunosuppressive drugs, e.g. after a transplant,
- daily long-term use of steroid medication, e.g. because of severe allergies,
- kidney failure requiring dialysis,
- cancer
We encourage people with these conditions to keep a safe distance from other people and, for their own safety, to stay at home.
If you are unsure whether a concurrent chronic illness may lower your immunity, call us!
If you decide to stay at home and do not have the vasectomy on the date booked earlier, you can always reschedule.
We still encourage you to come with a driver, but the driver should rather wait outside in the car than come into the waiting room.
